Choose a boundary the business can maintain
Write down the questions the assistant should answer and the tasks it should leave to a person. A bot that explains a service has a different scope from one that changes a booking or accesses an account. Give the supplier examples from your actual enquiries, with personal details removed. Include questions that sound relevant but should still be referred to a colleague.
Identify who owns the underlying information. Product descriptions, delivery rules and service conditions can change after the implementation team leaves. Ask how an authorised editor will update that information and how an old answer will be investigated. A successful demonstration on a prepared document does not establish a maintainable operating process.
Make the difficult answers part of acceptance
Use a review set containing incomplete questions, contradictory source material and requests outside the agreed scope. Ask the provider to show when the assistant declines, asks for clarification or hands over to a person. If English and Arabic are required, have suitable reviewers assess both. Do not assume that passing one language review settles the other.
For answers that depend on documents, ask whether a reviewer can trace the response to the relevant material. For actions, ask for confirmation steps and a record of what changed. These are buyer requirements to specify and test; a directory rating cannot establish that a supplier has met them on your particular system.
Compare a month of operation, not just the build
Request a cost breakdown covering the application, external services, usage and support. Ask what happens if the volume of conversations changes and who can set limits. The proposal should explain how you will see the charges and who investigates unexpected activity. Avoid comparing fixed development totals while leaving all recurring assumptions unstated.
There are six firms in this selection because only five other eligible provider dossiers were retained alongside the affiliated agency. The list has not been padded to ten. Published addresses and company information remain dated records, not proof of a specific local delivery team. Ask each candidate to identify the people who would configure, test and support your assistant.
Reading the provider evidence
Provider cards use archived GoodFirms profiles and listings read on 5 October 2026. Office locations, team bands and service percentages are provider declarations recorded there. Reviews keep the platform and reading date shown on each card. These records were not rechecked for current availability when this guide was written.
Why are there six chatbot companies rather than ten?
This selection includes Digital Unicorn and five other providers with eligible archived dossiers. We have kept the list short instead of adding unsupported entries.
Can a chatbot be tested before it receives real customer enquiries?
Yes. Build a review set from representative questions with personal details removed, then agree how answers, refusals and handovers will be assessed.
Does a provider rating show chatbot accuracy?
No. A company rating covers the reviews recorded on that platform. Accuracy and operating behavior must be assessed against your own questions and sources.
