How we build our company rankings

By , Talent Sourcing Expert ยท Updated

Each ranking on HireDeveloper.ae lists software companies able to take on a project in Dubai or anywhere else in the UAE. For every one of them it shows the same public facts: where the team works, how many people it employs, its public rating with the review count and the date we read it, its usual hourly rate, and the services it declares.

Where the facts come from

Our starting point is the GoodFirms listings for the service and the emirate concerned (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah). From there we open each company's GoodFirms profile, which gives the street address, the team size, the hourly rate band and how the company's declared work splits by service, industry and client size. For some companies, a readable Clutch or Sortlist profile adds the rating and review count from that platform. In the line under the comparison table, each ranking states the date on which these sources were checked.

Which companies make the shortlist

A company we cannot check does not appear: it needs a readable public profile. On a city page, local companies need an office in that city. Beyond that, a local office, a large share of the ranked service in the work the company declares, declared experience in the industry on sector pages, and a body of public reviews all count in its favour. A firm that puts most of its effort into marketing ranks below one that builds software full time, and its card says so.

How the order is set

We set the final order as an editorial choice, after reading the facts above. It does not come from a computed score, and we show no total score for any company. Some teams serve clients in the UAE remotely. Their card states where they are based, so you can weigh time zones and site visits yourself.

What each card tells you

The office or base, the team size, the rating with its platform, review count and date, the hourly rate band, the type of project the company fits best, and, where the facts call for it, a point worth checking before you sign. If a cell is marked as not published, the company does not publish that fact.

Updates and corrections

Every ranking displays the date of its last review. Ratings, review counts and rates are read again with each update. If a fact looks wrong, write to us via the contact page and include a link to the source. Before the page changes, we check that source.

Questions about our rankings

Where do the ratings come from?

From the public profile named beside each rating (GoodFirms in most cases, Clutch or Sortlist for some companies), together with the review count and the date we read it. We never average ratings from different platforms into one figure.

Why does a company based outside the UAE appear in a UAE ranking?

Some teams serve clients in the UAE remotely. Where they are based appears on their card, so you can judge time zones, travel and contract terms for yourself.

How often are the rankings updated?

Every page displays the date of its last review. We read the facts again at each update, and any correction sent through the contact page is checked against its source before the page changes.
